How would you like a culinary affair at Temptation Cancun Resort?

This past October I had the most deliciously sinful affair…with food at Temptation Cancun Resort. I have always been a lover of food, a fan of gastronomy, willing to try most anything. And I find it an absolute sin to leave food on my plate. You put it in front of me and I will eat it. So, on a recent excursion to Cancun, Mexico, I knew I would have some new culinary things to try. And try them I did.

Temptation Cancun Resort is an all-inclusive getaway that has seven restaurants. There is much to please the most discerning palate. And within my three-night stay, I did my best to try each restaurant. So, in no particular order, please find below my take on the seven culinary restaurants of Temptation Cancun Resort.

Amores: Mexican cuisine, this place has a buffet and a la carte items to choose from the menu. Open for lunch and dinner. I tried it for lunch, and it did not disappoint. Besides a full buffet, Amores also had an a la carte menu of small things, like burgers, tacos, etc., to choose from. Casual dress – though I kept a sundress over my swimwear.

SHE…check out those poles!

SHE: Considered an aphrodisiac, it is dining that is both sexy and sensual. They definitely take gastronomy to a new level. This seven-course menu created by the chef is a true experience. I found it delightful and not filling—though I was pleasantly satiated at the end of my meal. Each course was a sinful bite or two or three, quite pleasing to the palate. Also paired nicely with wine, though I did ask for Prosecco instead—a tart bubbly seemed much more in line with the courses and the entertainment (a sensual show that is not to be missed). This is a place where you need a reservation and they have only two seatings each night. The dress theme is for elegance and style. Open only for dinner.

Gastronomy: The art or science of good eating.

Merriam-Webster

Flame

Flame: Temptation signature grill, all you could ever ask for in a nice cut of beef, be it from the United States, Brazil or Argentina. Open for dinner only and reservations required. The steaks here are cooked to perfection, a true culinary delight, please ask for medium rare—one should not kill beef that is already dead. And relax in casual dress – jeans, dress shorts, dresses – you’re on vacation.

The Breakfast Crew at Sea Flirt.

Sea Flirt: What a charming name with Peruvian, Caribbean, and Creole specialties all centered on seafood. This place offers an intimate, oceanfront experience—a place to start the day with your significant other—as well as indoor dining. Our waiter, Candelario, was a true delight. We had the most fun teasing him, and he returned the teasing with lots of “mi amigas” and “mi amor” bandied about. Harmful fun, which started my day with a lift in my step. Oh, and be sure to try a morning elixir—made from different juices, we could never decide on just one, many of the gals had two different glasses with their breakfast.

Ready to dine at Romanza!

Romanza: Italian specialties with bold flare. Only open for dinner but you do not need a reservation. They have a large room for a private group that I would recommend calling ahead to reserve. Certainly a place for a ladies’ group or a men’s group—bachelorette party perhaps? Or even a divorce party? Yes, I hear that’s a thing now and Temptation is an ideal place to have one. We had our first meal here as a group with our hostess.

Rain

Rain: The international buffet, you never know what you might find here but it’s always abundant and always pleasing. Indulge your culinary senses over breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have live-action cooking displays where the chefs cook up an enormous array of regional and international cuisines. Go back often, for each day offers up new temptations to please your palate.

Sutra

Sutra: True Asian gastronomy. This sensory experience combines five different countries—China, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and India—to create a most unique dining experience. A place that also includes a hibachi bar. Open for dinner only, you must taste it at least once during your visit. The dress code here is casual, but please save the swimwear for the pool.

Bash

Now this list could not be complete without mentioning Bash—Temptation signature high-energy hotspot, featuring a nightly DJ with electrifying music as well as a wonderful show that starts promptly at 10pm. They have a wonderful buffet open from 7pm-2am—one can get mighty hungry dancing the night away. This is where Temptations gets its name: the “Playground for Grownups”!

And this all-inclusive resort is not just for couples. I highly recommend it for a rollicking good time, be you single, female, male, coupled, married or not. Temptation Cancun Resort has something for everyone to love. So click on the banner below and grab yourself a great deal today on future travel.
